Baby Blue Eyes

I was happy to spend my birthday yesterday with this little guy. His big bright blue eyes and permanent smile made photographing this fresh young lad very easy.

I took well over 50 stills yesterday and choosing this shot for the Photo Of The Day wasn’t a tough decision.

Admire The Wonders Of A Sunset

Today’s Photo of The Day is a shot of the sun setting over the mountains in New Hampshire.

I chose this spot because of the angle of the narrow beach opening up to an unreal view of a perfect setting.

Like I’ve talked about in past posts, I love shooting sunsets due to the time spent leading up to the most important shot. The changes in the sky and the variations of colors make the time worth the wait.

“When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.”

An Earlier Portrait

This isn’t a photo taken today or even this week, but it is very recent. It is one of my favorite portraits I have taken and the subject just happens to be a little important to me :).

Life Is A Story

Today’s photo of the day is a photograph of a birthday card I recently received. My birthday is Thursday and who doesn’t love getting cards early 🙂 Anyway, a big interest of mine is collecting quotes, passages, and meaningful words written by others and I love this quote so I decided to share it with all of you…

“Life is a story you write as you go. Whether the pages are filled with adventure or romance, action or mystery, hope this year is a great read.”

Thank you for this wonderful card!

Welcome To My Escape

Here is a Photo A Day for the last three days. I am happy to share one of my greatest escapes in life with everyone… I have been visiting this spot with family, friends, and loved ones for around 20 years. It is filled with memories, and there are no better memories than those photographed. ImageImageImage

Bridging The Gap

I love bridges… big, small, city, woods, streets… It doesn’t matter. They have always been a big attraction to me with art and photography. The black and white with the signs of rain just make this picture perfect for today’s Photo of The Day.

“If a man can bridge the gap between life and death, if he can live on after he’s dead, then maybe he was a great man.” -James Dean

A Nice Quote For The Viewers and Photographers

A good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart, and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it.

Just Before The Horizon

Photo of the day is brought to you from Maine. I love to shoot sunrise/sunset stills… Setting up for the shot and just relaxing in the calm while patiently waiting is almost as great as the photo (unless you miss it) :-).

Carrying Souls or Secrets

Today’s photo of the day is a shot of a butterfly in between transition. There are lots of things said about the meaning of the butterfly… From being a lost soul, a soul in transition to the after life, and it is even said that the butterfly is the holder of your best kept secret.

I chose this still for all of these reasons, thoughts, myths, beliefs… but mainly because to me they represent peace, beauty, and of course Freedom.

Up until about 45 seconds left in last nights game 6, I was planning on posting today about the Bruins… Unfortunately Boston has had a terrible week so I decided to post about another big interest in my life, Nutrition.

As a personal trainer, cook, and nutrition fanatic I love posting photos on my social media acounts of my food, fitness, inspiration, etc…

So here is today’s photo of the day:
